Webinar—Eat To Fight The Side Effects of Cancer: How to Get Food Past Your Nose

Tuesday, February 24, 2015 11:00 AM-12:00PM CST

Join PearlPoint Cancer Support’s Margaret Martin, RD, MS, LDN, CDE to learn strategies for managing change in taste and smell and sore mouth due to side effects from cancer treatment.

During cancer treatment it is common for food and drinks to smell or taste differently than they did before starting treatment. Cancer treatments such as chemo and radiation to the head and neck can also cause sore mouth making eating difficult. With just a few simple changes to your food choices and eating habits, you can manage these side effects so you can continue to get the nutrition you need and feel well during cancer treatment.

Presented by The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Parkridge Medical Center, Wine & Pearls is an evening of jazz, wine tasting, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and a fabulous silent auction all to benefit PearlPoint Cancer Support. The sixth annual event will take place at 6 p.m., Friday, April 24 at Chattanooga’s Hunter Museum of American Art. While tasting several varieties of wine, guests may enjoy the gorgeous view of the Tennessee River and will get a glimpse of the museum’s exhibitions. Cocktail attire is suggested, and tickets are $75 per person. For more information, contact Ashley at acharlton@pearlpoint.org or (615) 806-8299.
